Powabunga

A double-peak mountain DJ booth for an arena show in Vail. Layered white A-frames step back in depth. The front faces are perforated with a triangle grid and backed by addressable LED pixels, which ran rainbow sweeps and solid color washes under the lasers. The DJ table carried a circular mountains-over-water logo. The same logo was cut through the faces of a white dodecahedron lantern on a rolling base. The lantern stood in a tent elsewhere in Vail, where it threw the logo across the tent walls. The booth began as a SketchUp model and was framed in raw plywood in Los Angeles. It was then painted white and raised on site with a forklift in December 2021.
